Personal Profile

Professor Dianhai Wang is currently a Full Professor, Doctorate Supervisor, and Director of Institute of Intelligent Transportation Systems in College of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. As a Principal Investigator, he has led 1 project of the Key Science and Technology Innovation Team (on ITS) of Zhejiang Province, 8 projects (including 2 key projects) funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 2 projects funded by the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), 2 projects sponsored by the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program), and 1 project supported by the National Key Technology R&D Program. In collaboration with industry, Professor Wang has developed mixed traffic flow adaptive control systems and products that are widely implemented in many large and middle cities nationwide. He has published more than 200 papers and held more than 30 patents of invention. Professor Wang has won many awards in the field of transportation.
